You might have found it useful in the past to talk about problems with a friend or family member, but sometimes there are things that we don’t feel we can talk about to those close to us or maybe talk in a way we would like to. Counselling involves talking to someone who is trained in working with issues that you might be finding difficult or distressing. As counselling is a talking therapy you can talk about anything that is on your mind and anything can be a suitable subject for discussion in the counselling room.
