Psychotherapy & Psychology Consultations
All therapy sessions, including the initial meeting, are charged at the same rate. Working with individual clients and couples requires somewhat different approaches which are reflected in my fees and length of sessions. I also accept referrals for assessments required ahead of undergoing cosmetic surgery; fees for which can be found below.
I am also registered with AXA-PPP, BUPA and Vitality Healthcare to accept referrals via your health insurance.
Unless sessions are being paid via your health insurance, fees can be paid by BACS transfer.
Individual self-funded sessions: £80-£100* per session lasting 50 minutes.
Couples self-funded sessions: £90-£120* per session lasting 60 minutes.
Single Assessment Session including report: £200* lasting 60 minutes
Reports/long e-mails or calls/ and letter writing are charged at £60 per hour or part thereof.
*Sessions taking place at KIMS Hospital.
If you would like to make use of your health insurance, please discuss this with me before booking a session so that I can check that I am registered with your insurance company.
Before meeting for an initial session, please also check with your insurance company whether your policy is valid and to find out the number of sessions that you are covered for.
If at any point during therapy your policy does not qualify for benefit or if your policy expires then you will be responsible for paying any fees. Please note that missed or cancelled sessions are usually not covered by insurance companies.

Therapy agreement
About this agreement
This agreement provides you with information about me, how I work, how we will work together, the boundaries of our agreement to work together, confidentiality, and ending our work. Once you have read this please feel free to discuss any section or aspect with me before signing it.
How does therapy work?
Psychotherapy relies on a commitment from both the therapist and client. I therefore believe that it is important that both of us commit to the work for the agreed period of time including attending sessions at the agreed times. To ensure I can offer regular and continuous sessions, these will usually be on the same day and time each week.
Confidentiality
Everything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence. Your contact details and any notes (both manual and electronic documents such as emails) are kept solely for the purposes of our psychological therapy work together and are kept in a secure place/password protected computer. In line with the general confidentiality and privacy of our work, no information will be shared with other people, except with my consulted supervisory colleagues. In exceptional ethical or legal circumstances, it may be necessary to give information to relevant authorities but not without informing you and exploring the circumstances together. You have the right to access any information and notes within one month of making a request and I will erase any information and notes 7 years after the end of our work together (Contract and Civil Law Statute of Limitation requires they be kept for this time).
Contact information
In instances where you need to contact me between sessions, calls, texts or emails can be made via the details at the top of this page. If I am unable to take your call, please leave a message. All communications will be responded to within 24 hours except at weekends when I will respond on Monday morning.
Payments and missed/cancelled sessions
Session can be paid via BACS transfer either at the end of each session or on receipt of an invoice at the end of each month. Once we have agreed a mutually convenient day and time to meet, this will be reserved exclusively for you. I operate a 48 hour rescheduling and cancellation policy, which means that you will not be charged if you give notice of 48 hours or more. If you need to reschedule, I will try to offer a suitable time, however if I am unable to, the full session fee is due. If you have to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, then the full fee is payable.
Ending
I regard endings to be an important part of the therapeutic process. I therefore ask that when the decision has been taken to end therapy we agree upon a fixed number of sessions before ending to give us both a chance to review our work together. I understand that sometimes some people make a sudden decision to end. Should this be the case I ask that we at least have one final session to close our work together appropriately.
